Every brake is free energy.

Regen Coach shows how much you’re leaving on the road. We replay simulated hybrid drives on a real 3D city map and score how well each driver captures regenerative braking.

A simulated driver recovers 27.2 gal, $82 and 534 lb of CO₂ a year.

How it works

See the energy you missed.

Replay, score, compare, coach. Every number shows its work.

  1. 01 · MAP

    A real 3D city

Drives replay on real roads, buildings and terrain, so every hill and red light is where it should be.

  2. 02 · SCORE

    Regen, scored

Each segment is graded teal, amber or rose: energy captured, partly captured, or lost to friction brakes.

  3. 03 · SAVINGS

    Gallons, dollars, CO₂

See what your braking saved against a conventional car, in units you can feel.

  4. 04 · DRIVERS

    Smooth to aggressive

Flip the driver profile and watch the score re-run on the same route.

  5. 05 · CONDITIONS

    Dry roads to mud

Traction limits how much you can recover. See how wet, snow and mud change the answer.

  6. 06 · COACH

    One tip, next drive

A coaching tip written from the evidence in your trip, so the next drive scores higher.

Conditions

Same route. Different grip.

Slippery roads cap how hard the motor can brake. Switch conditions and watch the score, the recovered energy and the map colors change on the same trip.

What drivers show

What 26 simulated drivers taught us.

A qualitative read of the Regen Coach dataset: synthesized drivers, not real customer reports. Every number is an estimate.

  1. 01
    87 vs 38

    Driving style beats the car.

Smooth drivers started around 87 on the regen score, mixed drivers near 69, aggressive drivers at 38. Same physics, very different energy captured.

    11 smooth · 8 mixed · 7 aggressive drivers

  2. 02
    9 of 18

Most missed energy is late braking.

9 drivers lost the most to late braking. Next came cold battery (7) and full battery (2). Two of the three are fixable by changing when you lift off.

“Lift off the accelerator earlier and brake gently so regen can handle the stop.”

  3. 03
    +4.8

    Coaching moves the score.

17 of 18 drivers improved over 26 weeks of tips. Drivers who took advice readily gained 6.8 points; the rest gained 3.6.

    Best single gain: +8.9 points

  4. 04
    $175

The best move is often to stay.

Brake wear averaged $175 a year, so regen is one piece of the picture. Only 7 of 26 drivers were better off switching cars; 19 should keep theirs and drive smarter.

Switchers saved about $8,263 over five years
